On May, 29, 2006, the Tucson Citizen published a feature on the World War 2 Stories project. Regina Kelly, Executive Director of VOICES, Inc. contributed to the article which highlighted three of the nineteen vets, Francis “Bob” O’ Brien, Charles Laubly, and Bert Jerman.

Laundry Girls, 1945. Clarkfield, Manilla, Philippines. For a pack of cigarettes the girls would do laundry for a month. When Bill found out they were starching the clothes with Caribou urine, he didn’t want his clothes laundered any more.
